One of the UK’s leading powered access companies has boosted its fleet as it looks to power ahead with work across the country in 2020.
GT Access, based in Bromsgrove, has purchased a specially designed X-Way from Iveco’s largest truck dealer group in the UK, Guest Truck and Van.
The two organisations have a long-standing relationship stretching across 15 years, with GT Access using Iveco vehicles exclusively across its eight branches.
Company owner, Jonathan Till, said: “We have worked with Guest Truck and Van for around 15 years and as we are constantly adding to our fleet and looking at opportunities to grow, the relationship has been very positive over the years.
“2020 is going to be a big year for us again and we are delighted to have added these vehicles to our fleet so we can get straight into action.”
As one of the largest privately-owned access companies in the UK, GT Access are planning to continue growing this year, with the new vehicle allowing the business to take on more work and meet growing demand.
The new X-Way, complete with cameras to aid drivers and a handrail system on the body, is perfectly suited for the company’s operation, thanks in part to its all-wheel drive system, which enables staff to access muddy building sites.
The new additions take the company’s fleet up to 29 Iveco vehicles, with two new depots set to open this year.
Robert Spittle, Managing Director of Guest Truck and Van, said: “Our relationship with GT Access has always been a really positive one and we look forward to this continuing as they grow in 2020.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Jonathan and the team in getting them exactly what they need with the tractor unit and the Stralis, both of which have been modified to make them perfect for our team.”
